Posted on March 1, 2018 Tagged (since that does carry quite a few cissexist implications), but yeah as long as you don't go overboard with making them non-passing go ahead and hc canonically male characters as trans females, like no…it's…really not if you do it respectfully, oh boy. i remember when people were arguing that gender-bending was bad bc it was transphobic, rb'd, so much that they have to specify that they're trans even though their depiction is fucking gross and disrespectful, though tbh i think this sorta referring how people draw trans characters with as many non-passing features as possible, trans, what IS bad is genderbending male characters just so you can sexualize them as females or labeling it as 'cisswap' or whateverLeave a comment

you literally changed the gender of the character. it is genderbending. taking a male character and making them a trans woman is genderbending. same with taking a female character and making them a trans man. it. is. still. genderbending.
