the difference between women calling themselves sapphic and relating to gay greek women and gay men relating to gay greek men is so immense, especially considering gay greek woman were treated like animals and not allowed to read, and things like lesbos were in direct response to that. men even tried to wipe out any proof of islands like that because they felt women could not be intellectual like men due to feeling fucking emotions. so maybe instead of being all “uwu achean” or “uwu socrates was so gay!” maybe talk about greek gay woman, or better yet, etruscan woman+gay people in tuscany, considering they existed there and men and women were almost equal.
