• Non-sexualized spaces because us gamers need to focus on playing our games
• Inclusive so u don’t have to out urself as a hanzo main
• No alcohol so healers have full access
• I fukkin hate normies
• No pressure to find healing, lookin at you genji
• No need to socialize u can literally sit at a table and play game all by ur self
Please make these a thingThis kind of just sounds like most coffee shops that aren’t Starbucks though
No regular coffee shops and cafes are too sexualized/romanticized and filled with nongamers which is why we need a gamers only coffee shop that is inclusive to those who aren’t out yet as gamers due to social stigma
So just to clarify, the social impacts of being LGBT are equivalent to those of being a gamer to you?
Yes in fact I think that gamers are MORE oppressed than the LGBTs. I mean you guys have bars and clubs but have you ever seen a gamer bar?

“a no-sex bar sounds like a superb idea” do you think people just fuck in bars. like you go into a bar theres just a fucking wild orgy happening on the tables and like one guy on the side drinking
Perhaps its meant in the asexual way, like, make friends or something?
go to a coffee shop??? join a club????? leave the house???????
nah okay, fuck that you’ve clearly never experienced a night where you’re walking around a downtown core like “where is everybody????” and then get to a club and it is PACKED and you realize this is it. this is where everyone goes, this is where everybody is.
and you walk around and get a drink and realize All of the people are here to have sex. you can see it in their eyes. they are there to have sex, or there because their friends are having sex, or because they want to look like they’re someone who has sex. everyone is at the club, and everyone is there for sex, and if you’re not about that you have a lot of work to do if you’re going to be part of any social group.
then again people on this site are absolutely in love with interpreting everything with the express purpose of mocking it, so yeah get your bits in.
we need asexual grocery stores too last week i went to walmart and a lady was putting a king size snickers bar up her pussy
a single decade of ace internet activism won’t change the fact that the lgbt community was built for people who experience homophobia or transphobia
I mean its not like this attitude obviously carries over into irl -oh wait
Lesbians especially are told “if you don’t like guys you obviously don’t like anyone lol”. It’s not like so many fucking lesbians are told “you’re obviously ace / acearo” if they figure out they don’t like guys/ are struggling incredibly with comp het.
Yall need to maybe reevaluate your ingrained homophobia and fucking have some nuance and critical thinking for once
honestly, every time someone launches into the whole argument that “LGBT/queer does not mean that you are oppressed and therefore asexuality and/or aromanticism is inherently LGBT” i get angry because YEAH the whole FUCKING reason that the Political Coalition of Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender exists is partly because of historical cultural links and partly the fact that people recognized that their oppression was, although sometimes different, somewhat related and that political and social gains would be easier to achieve through shared political consciousness and shared political action.
and, like, hey, i really don’t mind that people identify as asexual and/or aromantic, and there are LGBT people who are one or the other or both, and i really have zero issue with that, but i don’t think that material oppression of ace/aro persons as a class has been conclusively proven to exist, whereas it HAS been proven to exist for the various classes of LGBT people, and although there are social problems that ace/aro people encounter because of these identities, those social difficulties don’t necessarily constitute a “class oppression” and furthermore i don’t really see much of a history of aro/ace people beyond stuff like AVEN (which is a fucked up thing by itself that i won’t get into).
one thing that is SUPER OFFENSIVE to me is people calling “acephobia” OR “exclusionary rhetoric” IN ANY WAY comparable to TWERF (TERF, TWEF, etc) behavior. Because in case you forgot, Transgender Woman Exterminationist Radical Feminism is a fairly specific political ideology and agenda that is essentially linked together by a few loosely agreed upon radical feminist views, which completely take a backseat to the primary objective of Trans-Misogyny and an overall goal and praxis of material oppression of transgender women.
So why are you talking as if trans women and aro/ace people are part of some united demographic or class? We are not. Aro/ace people are not, by virtue of that demographic, subject to the terrorizing and oppressing ideologically motivated violence (both structural and interpersonal!) that TWERFS HAVE done, ARE doing, and CONTINUE TO DO for the forseeable future, TO TRANSGENDER WOMEN.
Lastly, saying that Ace/Aro people are LGBT and claiming some type of shared ground on oppression implies that transgender women have, to any degree, a similarity, or comparable scope, of oppression to what ace/aro people experience as a demographic.
I think that is a VAST understatement and under-estimation of transmisogyny that seriously pisses me off. It might sound mean, but to me that appears as if you are, quite simply, creating a fantasy of being oppressed, which is necessarily offensive and harmful to the people who are actually oppressed.
I have seen, a lot of times, people propgagate the idea that bisexual, transgender, and ace/aro people have some kind of similar overall experience based on the vulgarly vague term “exclusion.” I have no idea where people get this idea, because it does not come from reality.
spaces we sorely need
– free places for youth to spend time at in general
– free spaces for marginalized youth to spend time at and connect with peers
– lgbt homeless shelters
– sobriety programs/help with addiction for lgbt people
– literally any safe and supportive place for lgbt peopleyour solution:
– privately owned, crowdfunded queer cafe for inclusionists. 5$ for a cup of coffee please
Honestly the funniest thing in the Ace Discourse to me is when the dude who kept leaving those “OP is an Aphobe” banners on posts was revealed to have a piss fetish.
in 2018 we stop reblogging from aphobe snakegay
this is so scary like theres pretty even chances of this being a joke or serious hate like this is schrodingers aphobia anon
